Tuesday, Anyssa and Harrison will have Papper K in the studio. She is the owner-operator of Lion’s Tooth Productions which is putting on the HeARTS Aware Festival. This is a two-day festival and benefit that showcases art of all forms–including music, visual, photography, jewelry-making, sculpting and more. Half of the funds received from tickets will go to The Amala Foundation and The Resonance Project and the other half will go back to the artists. Check out the event page here!

Thursday, Melissa and Shannon will have Julie Eckert in the studio. She’s with the Student Health Center at Texas State and will be talking to us about flu awareness. According to the Center for Disease Control, the flu has been widespread throughout the United States this season but particularly in Texas. The Student Health Center website has more:

“Both Type A and Type B flu viruses are causing illness this season…The flu season in Texas extends from October to May. So, it is not too late to get a flu shot.”

Be sure to tune in to find out more!

We’ll be having great segments throughout the week, such as the photography-based “Electric Eye” on Monday– which will talk about photography in low-light situations. We’ve also got segments on movies, music, sports, and health throughout the week!

As always, keep it tuned to KTSW 89.9– the other side of radio!
